Do the Care Plan services have any tax implications?
- The cashless Care Plan services are funded by your organization.
- Even if a service is fully funded by your organization, a certain part, only tax component must be borne by an employee since he/she is availing it as a service as per the government rules.
- For e.g. If an employee falls under 10% tax bracket and he/she avails Care Plan or other service being funded by your organization. Let’s say, the price of Care Plan is Rs 2000 per month (total- 8000 for 4 months), your tax liability will be 10% of Rs 2000 i.e., Rs. 200 for that month.
- Similarly for other services being funded by HCLT for the employees or their family members
- Primary care plan can only be availed once in a gap of one year
